Level 5 Course Designer

My interest in course designing developed when my mother opened an indoor competition centre near Exeter in 1994 known as Exeter Equestrian Centre.  After working with (and learning from) talented course designers at shows across the country I am now a British Showjumping Level 5 Course Designer (since 2015) and the current BS South West Mentor.

I strongly believe that course designers have a duty to ensure novice horses, and riders alike, are given every opportunity to fulfil their potential around encouraging courses.

As mentor I have found there to be a lack of some basic guides for people to follow, therefore, I have produced a book which aims to demonstrate some easy to follow guides that should enable the most novice designer to build fair and flowing tracks whilst maintaining the element of competition.

Whether you are a trainer, rider, judge or a course designer, already out there building or aspiring to become one, there will be useful information including pictures and diagrams to help you!
